Hooray for 2010!

A friend of mine suggested I start a blog to document the everyday events of my newborn for her daddy, who is deployed to Iraq... so this is it.

We've spent most of the day lounging in bed and being lazy. It's the second day since daddy left to go back to Iraq from R&R, and he finally made it back to his own room today. Kaylie got to have her first Skype chat with daddy, even if she slept through most of it, lol.

The biggest excitement is the Snuggle Nest I bought yesterday. Kaylie refuses to sleep in her own bed, and it scares me to let her sleep in the big bed with me, so I read about this and decided to give it a try. So far so good! She has slept in it day and night, and having her next to me in bed helps with night time feedings. I felt so much more rested when we woke up this morning! It is kinda big for my full size bed, so it's a good thing that it's just the two of us in  bed- there would definitely not be room for daddy.

here is Kaylie sleeping in her Snuggle Nest

I had to add this one because when she eats she holds her hands up by her face and opens and closes her fists... it reminds me of Talladega Nights, "I don't know what to do with my hands" :)
